Principal’s Message:
Welcome to all of our returning and new students and families to Rosemary Heights Elementary. We are looking forward to our 4th year as we get ready for over 460 full time students.

As in previous years, we will wait to see how many students have moved out of our catchment over the summer and how many new registrations we receive on Tuesday, September 6, 2011. However, history tells us, parents in our school community tend to register well before the first day of school.

On Tuesday, September 6, we will start to formulate classes and we hope to have all students in their classes for the 2011/2012 school year as soon as possible.

On Wednesday, September 7, students will report to the same class they did on Tuesday and on Wednesday afternoon, students will exit from the same classes they entered on Wednesday morning.

Kindergarten students have their own gradual entry schedules and that information will be communicated to families today.

School Hours:
Please note our school hours are as follows:
First Bell: 8:35 a.m.
Classes begin: 8:40 a.m.
Dismissal: 2:33 p.m.

No Dogs Please:
For parents new to our school community, just a reminder that in the interest of student safety, we do not allow dogs on our school property.

Nut Allergies:
This is a peanut/nut safe zone as we have some students that have severe peanut/nut allergies to these foods. For their safety, please do NOT send your child with any peanut/nut items. Thank you.

Absences/Lates:
For your convenience we have a 24 hour a day answering machine to let us know if your child is going to be absent that day, of if your child is going to arrive late. This is for the safety of your child(ren) and we would appreciate a call to the office before 8:40 a.m. if you have kept your child home for any reason. If we do not hear from you we will try all your contact numbers to make sure your child is safe. Thank you.

School Information:
Rosemary Heights tries to correspond with families using e-mail as much as possible. We will be sending out the forms for this information this week. Please return the forms to the school office as soon as possible so you don’t miss out on any important school news. Thank you!
