Do we have your email address?
We now have our Friday weekly bulletin sent out by email. If you know or hear of any families that are not receiving the emails please ask those families to contact the office. If any family has not been receiving any communication by email then unfortunately, they are not getting the current updates. Also, please remember to let the office know if you change your email address during the school year.
Stomach flu
Stomach Flu season is almost upon us and we would like to remind you that if your child does get the flu it would be appreciated if your child could stay home for 24 hours after the onset of the stomach flu. This helps stop the spread of the stomach virus in the classroom for students and staff. Thank you.
Visiting a classroom
In the interest of student safety, please be reminded that ALL parents/guardians visiting a classroom or seeing a teacher must check into the office and wear a visitor tag provided. Thank you for your co-operation with this important matter. Visitor tags: We are missing quite a few of our school visitor tags from the office. If you have accidentally taken one home could you please return it to the office. Thank you!
Cross Country
Congratulations to our superb Cross Country Team for achieving fantastic success at the meet. There were many athletes who achieved their best race results as well as achieving their personal goals.
Over the 6 weeks of training, everyone improved their cardiovascular fitness and flexibility. As a bonus, our team won many rosettes …. here are the results:
- Grade 3 girls – 2nd place
- Grade 3 boys – 1st place
- Grade 4 girls – 2nd place
- Grade 5 boys – 1st place
- Grade 6 girls – 1st place
- Grade 7 boys – 2nd place
Cheers to all our dedicated athletes and parents who came out each Tuesday to support the team! A huge thank you to Ms. Cathy James for setting up our tent every race day! Special thanks to the many hours of coaching from the following teachers: Ms. Simonski, Mrs. C. Bentley, Mr. Calbick and Mrs. Peddemors.
Student Lunches
If you need to drop off any lunches at the office for your child(ren), please remember to mark the name on the lunch kit or put a note with the lunch. We have many students that have their lunches dropped off and it would help us greatly if they are labelled. Thank you.
Media Permission Forms
Please remember to return your media forms into the office as soon as possible. This form is very important should we have the media at the school or publish any pictures on our website. PLEASE indicate clearly on the form your child’s name and division/or teacher. Thank you.
Parking Reminder
Please be reminded that parking is not allowed by the sidewalk outside of the classrooms at the front of the school – this is for drop-off purposes only as well as for emergency vehicles and school buses.
Please remember to use our parking lot if you are coming into the school during school hours or picking your child up at the end of the day so that our driveway is kept clear and safe for our students.
Fraser Health: how to treat head lice
Fraser Health has detailed information on treating head lice. If a case of lice is detected in your child's classroom, a notice will be sent home with your child. A sample of this notice and the Fraser Health information is posted here for your reference. This file is for your information only, and does not mean that a case has been currently detected in your child's classroom.

Warm clothing drive
As the weather turns colder, many children less fortunate go without necessities like gloves, toques, warm jackets, and boots. Look for collection bins set up in the foyer soon. We’re accepting new and gently used winter clothing, which will be delivered to children at our sister school in North Surrey.
