Flu Season
We've had quite a few students and staff come down with the stomach flu that seems to come around every year. Usual symptoms are a stomach ache and/or fever, followed by vomiting and/or diarrhea.
A few children have vomited in the classroom. While this is never expected, it becomes challenging for teachers and students as they have to relocate to another room for cleaning by District Staff. Our medical room can accommodate only one student at a time.
If possible, it would be appreciated if you could keep your child(ren) home for at least 24 hours after the last symptom has disappeared.
If illness is noticed in the morning it would be best for the students to remain at home for the day.

Filling the school with hockey spirit, they taught us that if we just believe all our dreams and hopes can come true. 14 lucky students were able to ask Mason Raymond and Alex Burrows 7 great questions each. Alongside this visit from the Canucks, our school has raised a spectacular amount of food items donated towards the South Surrey Food Bank. It was a wonderful day for Rosemary. GO CANUCKS GO!!!

Halloween for Hunger
Halloween for Hunger is a campaign created by Free the Children where kids trick-or-treat for non-perishable food items instead of candy. This year, the Managers division of T.E.A.M. will be having a Halloween food drive of the same name. The food drive we are holding is inspired by the original Free the Children campaign. We are asking for non-perishable food donations to be brought into your children’s classroom on and date between Monday, October 24 and Monday, October 31. All donations will go to the Surrey Food Bank. Thank you in advance for supporting Rosemary Heights’ Halloween for Hunger!
Fraser Health: how to treat head lice
Fraser Health has detailed information on treating head lice. If a case of lice is detected in your child's classroom, a notice will be sent home with your child. A sample of this notice and the Fraser Health information is posted here for your reference. This file is for your information only, and does not mean that a case has been currently detected in your child's classroom.
