News for the weeks of January 16 to 30

Movie Night at Rosemary Heights

A very special “Freedom Friday” event has been planned for Friday, February 3rd. The T.E.A.M. Managers will be hosting a movie night for the Rosemary Heights community in the school gym from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The feature film will be The Smurfs movie. Tickets will be sold for $2.00 per person. Sales will begin on Friday, January 27th. Hot chocolate and popcorn will be sold for $1.00 each during the movie night. At the end of the evening, one lucky viewer will be selected to take home the Smurf DVD to keep! Please mark this special date on your calendar. Money raised from this event will also be donated to charity.

Flu Season

We've had quite a few students and staff come down with the stomach flu that seems to come around every year. Usual symptoms are a stomach ache and/or fever, followed by vomiting and/or diarrhea.

A few children have vomited in the classroom. While this is never expected, it becomes challenging for teachers and students as they have to relocate to another room for cleaning by District Staff. Our medical room can accommodate only one student at a time.

If possible, it would be appreciated if you could keep your child(ren) home for at least 24 hours after the last symptom has disappeared.

If illness is noticed in the morning it would be best for the students to remain at home for the day.

Visitor Badges

Thank you to the many parents that sign into the school office when they are visiting the school. We are missing many of the tags from the school office. Alongside this visit from the Canucks, our school has raised a spectacular amount of food items donated towards the South Surrey Food Bank. It was a wonderful day for Rosemary. GO CANUCKS GO!!!
