Message from the Principal

We are privileged to have an enthusiastic school community that works on bringing out the very best that our students can be. While school is primarily a place for learning, it is also a place to celebrate, and share tears and laughter as we work towards being the best that we all can be.

I look forward to this year with some anxiousness and a lot of hope, as we continue writing a great book entitled “Rosemary Heights Elementary School."

- Principal Phil Linklater

Mission statement

Our school community will be working on our mission statement in 2009/2010. It is the philosophy of our school to foster growth in attitudes and skills that are attributes of an educated and responsible individual in our changing society.

The staff is committed to:

  1. Developing a sense of personal worth and respect for self and others.
  2. Fostering attitudes that promote competency, mastery, and independent learning styles.
  3. Encouraging the development of each pupil's talents and abilities to the fullest.
  4. The mastery of fundamental skills and knowledge of the core curriculum.
  5. Promoting thinking, ethical, and moral decision making skills.
  6. Developing a sense of community and citizenship by building connections among our roots, our family, our community and to each other.
  7. Fostering artistic expression and aesthetic appreciation.

Nut-free school

Rosemary Heights Elementary is a nut-free school. We do have students in our school that can have a severe allergic reaction to products with nuts in them. Please do not send any products with your child, that have nuts or traces of nuts in them. While this is a minor inconvenience for a majority of parents, this will help to keep our school safe for all of our students.

Student Programs and Services

  • A music specialist provides music instruction to all students from Kindergarten to Grade 4.
