Hot Lunch 2011 - 2012
Program Details

Rosemary Heights PAC is continuing to “going green” and again Hot Lunch Ordering will be done online. You’ll be able to register your children, order their hot lunches and pay online. You can also view hot lunch orders at any time during the term.

Online ordering is available now and all orders must be completed by midnight Saturday, December 10, 2011. If you're paying by cheque, please print off your order form and attach your cheque no later than Wednesday, December 14. The system is easy to navigate but if you have any problems as you go through it please email hotlunch(at)rosemaryelementary.ca.

Note that to pay online by credit card or bank account debit, you’ll need to set up a PayPal account. This is easy to do, takes just a few minutes, and is free. Visit PayPal.ca and click Sign Up to join.

Getting Started

Step 1  Go to www.rosemaryheights.hotlunches.net.

Step 2  Click on the Register tab in the upper right-hand corner.

Step 3  Enter the school access code RH2010HL. Then enter your information (parent name, phone number, email address, etc.) and create a user ID and Password. The user ID and password can be any combination of numbers and letters and a minimum two (2) characters. When complete click Register Now. You’ll receive a confirmation email with your User ID. You may wish to print this email and keep it for future reference.

Step 4  When you click Register Now you will automatically be redirected back to the homepage. Click on the Students button on the bottom left. Then click the Add New button.

Step 5  Enter your child's first and last name and use the dropdown menu to choose their class/division. After you have entered their information click the Add New button. If you do not wish to be included on the online class list, click on the No button. Please note the class list displays names of students in your child’s class and can only be seen by registered and verified members of your class. Your hot lunch order information is not visible to anyone.

Step 6 If you have more than one child at Rosemary Heights, please click the Add New Button and register any other children before placing any hot lunch orders.

Step 7 Click on the Order button under the name of each child. Enter the quantity of each item you wish to order for each hot lunch date. The form will automatically total at the bottom. PLEASE REMEMBER on the Sub Days to check the boxes for the toppings on each sub and/or your child’s choice of soup if they are choosing an option that includes soup.

Step 8  If you’re satisfied with your selections, click the Place Order button at the bottom of the page

Step 9  You are almost finished. If you have multiple children, please enter all of their orders. You may pay for all family members in one payment. When you have entered all your children's orders please choose a payment method. You may pay online with Visa or Mastercard or by direct debit to your bank account using PayPal by clicking on the PayPal Payment button.

If you wish to write a cheque, please click on the Remittance Form button and fill out the information (make cheques payable to Rosemary Heights Elementary PAC). Please print the form and submit it with your cheque to your classroom teacher. If you have more than one child at Rosemary, please submit one (1) cheque to your oldest child's teacher for the total amount due.

Please bear in mind that cheques are a highly administrative, paper-based process. If you don't have access to a computer, you may pick up a paper copy of the order form from the office and return it to your classroom teacher, however there is a $5 administration fee for manual paper orders.

Rosemary Heights Hot Lunch Menu Summary

Menu Summary This year’s menu is divided into 3 ordering sessions – Fall (Oct – Dec), Winter (Jan-March) and Spring (April – June). We hope that there is something for everyone and that everyone enjoys Hot Lunch Day at Rosemary Heights Elementary.

Hot Dog Day
Hot Dog lunch is prepared by the hot lunch committee. All hot dogs are all-beef wieners and veggie dogs are Yves tofu dogs

Fresh Slice Pizza
Your child has a choice of a large slice of Cheese, Pepperoni, Ham & Pineapple or Vegetarian pizza. Each pizza is made with a multi-grain crust.

Quiznos Subs
These delicious sandwiches are served on a fresh baguette and are available in a 6 inch or 9 inch sizes. The choices are Ham, Turkey, Tuna, Pepperoni or Veggie. Don’t forget to select the toppings that you want included – Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, Bacon, Cheddar Cheese, Mayo, Mustard and Honey Mustard. A 4oz bowl of soup is also offered on this menu with or without a sub, and the following selections are available: Chicken Noodle, Broccoli & Cheese, and Chili.

Plaka Greek Restaurant
A hot lunch favourite, offering amazing Chicken Souvlaki served with Rice and Tzatziki, Baked Chicken Strips served with Rice, Baked Penne Alfredo, Baked Penne with Meat Sauce, as well as a large Greek salad.

Sushi
California Roll – imitation crab, avocado, white rice, cucumber, seaweed, and mayonnaise Cucumber Roll – white rice, cucumber, and seaweed All sushi is served with a package of light soy sauce – wasabi and ginger is not included.

Soup Days
This meal is also prepared by the hot lunch committee. The Chicken Noodle soup is by Lipton, the Vegetable Soup is by Campbell’s and they are each served with a cheese breadstick.

Kraft Macaroni & Cheese / Cobs Bread
Mac & Cheese is new to our menu this year and is also made by the hot lunch committee. This menu also offers a choice of a Cob’s Pizza Bun, Cheese Bun, Turkish Bun or Ham & Cheese Croissant.
